Loretta (Rademacher) Thelen

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother died on April 29, 2014. She was born in Dallas Township on July 19, 1918 the daughter of William and Louise (Luttig) Smith. Loretta lived in Westphalia all her life. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and the Christian Mothers Guild. Loretta married Wilfrid Rademacher on May 29, 1940 and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1973. She married Norbert Thelen on December 8, 1977 and he preceded her death on January 21, 1995. Loretta enjoyed growing roses, quilting and playing cards with her friends. She is survived by three sons Frank (Cheryl) Rademacher, James (Jean) Rademacher, and Richard Rademacher all of Westphalia; three daughters Elaine (Jerry) Miller of Westphalia, Cheryl (John) Wieber of St. Johns and Sandra (Tom) Stallard of Eaton Rapids; 21 grandchildren; 45 great great grandchildren; also surviving are two sisters Leona Leik of Grand Ledge and Dorothy Lenneman of Portland; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Rademacher of Westphalia. She was preceded in death by her husbands, sisters Eleanor Simon, Marian Thelen, Verena Rademacher; brothers Aloysious, Isidore, Celestine and Paul Smith.
