Lois L. “Loie” McGowan, age 80, of Hibbing and formerly of Denver, CO, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl, MN. She was born January 17, 1934, in Hibbing, MN, the daughter of Alvin “Kelly” and Lily (Christianson) Strehlow. She graduated from Hibbing High School, and shortly thereafter moved to Denver, CO on the advice of a relative who said it was a beautiful place to live.
