Lloyd Theissen, 85, of Hermann, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at his home.
Lloyd was born in Rhineland, Missouri on September 23, 1932, a son of the late George & Verona Mary (Gleeson) Theissen.
He was the husband of Ileen (Humburg) Theissen. They were united in marriage on July 1, 1972 in Hermann. Ileen survives him at the home.
Lloyd is also survived by 10 children, Delbert Theissen & wife Deanne, of Berger, Missouri; Debbie Diebal & husband Stanley, of Hermann; Michael Theissen & wife Beverly, of Hermann; David Theissen, of Gerald, Missouri; Alvin Theissen & wife Sheila, of Berger; Susan Theissen, of Houma, Louisiana; Daniel Theissen & wife Tricia, of Hermann; Jeannie Minks, of Hermann; Amy Pottebaum & husband Jeff, of Berger; and Jennifer Humphrey & husband Chad, of Hermann; a son-in-law Clifford Staley, of Hermann; by three brothers, Donald Theissen & wife Wilma, of Marthasville; Robert Theissen & wife Jane, of Washington, Missouri; and Joseph Theissen & wife JoAnn, of Hermann; by a sister, Joni Grotewiel & husband Steve, of Osage Beach, Missouri, by 32 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, by two daughters, Tina Ileen Staley and Elaine Theissen, by a sister, Sandra Elkins, and by two grandchildren, Scott & Austin Theissen.
Lloyd worked for Rite Point for many years, which is now Home Inc. In his free time he loved being in the outdoors, whether it be cutting grass, gardening, or cutting fire wood.
