Lillian Hasmig Elledge passed away April 1, 2016 in Farmington Hills, MI. Born in Highland Park, Michigan on July 11, 1925, her parents were Misak and Nazenig (Maghakian) Avedisian. Even as a child, she was shy and enjoyed reading. Not shy of work though, she worked part-time at the famous downtown Detroit Sanders store while attending High School. She successfully completed her schooling and graduated from Highland Park High School. Shortly thereafter, a friendly ex-Marine neighbor introduced her to Jesse Elledge, who was an ex-Marine buddy on his way home to Oklahoma. Love blossomed and Lillian went with Jesse to meet his folks in Oklahoma. In their merriment, Lillian rode a horse there for the first time in her life. The happy couple married in 1946 and settled in Highland Park. Lillian became a devoted wife and loving mother to her children, raising her family in fine fashion. As an excellent seamstress, Lillian taught the girls how to sew and made nice dresses for them, even making great Halloween costumes for them. The family made annual trips to Oklahoma for vacations and kept touch with their relatives. Staying busy with work, she was employed at Chrysler Corporation before going to work for the City of Highland Park. Lillian became the Deputy City Clerk and faithfully performed her duties. She retired from there after 27 loyal years of service. After moving to West Bloomfield, Lillian began working in the offices of G.L. Process Control, in the industrial manufacturers’ representative industry. Lillian Elledge shall always be remembered for her honest, hard work ethic. But, most of all, she shall always remain in the hearts and minds of her loved ones for her devotion to family, relatives, cousins and friends. ****************** She will lie In State Tuesday April 5, 2016, from 6pm to 9pm with Dan Gark prayera at 7:30pm in St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church, 19300 Ford Road, Dearborn.
