Lewis Edward Ferrell Sr., 90, of Viburnum, MO passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Phelps County Hospital in Rolla, MO. He was born July 25, 1917 in Sligo, MO to Charles and Sadie Mae (Helms) Ferrell. On December 24, 1942 he was united in marriage to Betty Jane (Adams) Ferrell who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife of sixty-four years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Phyllis Burr and husband Wally of Mountain Home, AR, two sons, Charles Ferrell and wife Wanda of Lohman, MO and Lewis (Eddie) Ferrell Jr. and wife Valerie of Sullivan, MO; one sister, Ethel Bowen of Ohio; five sisters-in-law, Pauline Adams of Steelville, MO, Dorothy Weber of Gray Summit, MO, Ava Comfort of Columbia, MO, Opal Comfort of O’Fallon, MO, Anna Horn and husband Robert of Delmar, NY; one brother in-law George Adams and wife Sharon of Steelville, MO; ten grandchildren, Joy Weaver and husband Rodney, Jared Parrett, Corky Burr and wife Tina, Canda Reece and husband Tony, Kelly Miller and husband Marvin, Josh Ferrell, Ryan Ferrell, Megan Ferrell, Stephanie Ruble and husband Dave, Melissa Blair and husband Carl; eleven great-grandchildren, Andre Parrett, Logan Burr, Colton Burr, Easton Reese, Kaiden Reese, Anna Miller, Bethany Miller, Zane Ruble, McKenlee Blair, Gabriel Blair, Dawson Blair; other relatives and many dear friends. His parents, daughter, Janet Louise Parrett, three sisters, Gertrude Cooper, Chris Ferrell, Esther Thompson and one brother, Virgil Ferrell, preceded him in death.

Lewis retired after 47 years from St. Joe Lead Company. He was a long-time member and Deacon of the Free Will Baptist Church in Viburnum and taught the adult class for almost 40 years.
