Mr. Lester William Ridder , 77, of Kimberling City, formerly of Montgomery City passed away Thursday, December 8th, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Ridder was born in Augusta, Missouri on January 18, 1934, the son of the late Elmer C. and Teckla J. (Osthoff) Ridder.
He was the husband of Wilhelmena “Willie” (Grosse) Ridder, they were married March 16, 1957, at Montgomery City, Missouri. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator at McClain’s Quarry , Danville, Missouri, where he worked for over 35 years. He was a member of Kimberling City United Methodist Church, Kimberling City, Missouri, and the Operating Engineers Local #513 for 35 years. Les and Willie enjoyed square dancing for many years and would travel throughout the state dancing. After Les and Willie retired they moved to Kimberling City. Les stayed busy cutting grass around the neighborhood and taking care of his boat & boat dock.
He is survived by his wife Willie, his two sons Elmer Ridder and wife Robyn of Ballwin, and Todd Ridder and wife Connie of Columbia, grandson Rusty Ridder and wife Amy and their two children Karli & Hanna of Holts Summit; granddaughters Danielle Glesne and husband Jared and Kelsey Ridder of Ballwin; step granddaughters Amy Crockett, Wendy Swetz and Elly Bethune, step-great grandson Todd Hague.
He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Russell Ray Ridder and his sister Helen Mae Slatten.
