Age 96, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. He was born on May 17, 1918 in Ronald Township, MI the son of John and Nettie (Snow) Stedman. Mr. Stedman graduated from Belding High School in 1937. Leslie began farming with his father in 1938, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the First Christian Church since 1947, was a member of the Ronald Grange, the Palo School Board, as well as a member of the Palo Masonic Lodge. Leslie married the former Phyllis Waldron on September 12, 1942 in Ronald Township. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandson, Doug Weedmark; sister and brother-in-law, Naomi (Idaleen) and Victor Fetzner; son-in-law, Bob Alexander; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Jane Waldron. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis; sons, Gerald (Lynne) Stedman of Ionia, and Brian Stedman of Greenville; twin daughters, Barbara (Carl) Rios of Stanton, and Bonnie (Norman) Weedmark of Sheridan; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.
