Leslie Elizabeth Hahn
April 15, 2014
Portland – Leslie Elizabeth Hahn, 55, of Portland, passed away on April 15, 2014, following a long, and hard-fought battle with breast cancer. She was the beloved wife of Greg Kirk, and mother to their doggie children Morgan, of blessed memory, and Piper. Leslie was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She is survived by her mother Doris, brother Douglas, aunt Joyce, husband Greg Kirk and doggy child Piper Elizabeth Kirk.
Leslie was a graduate of Riverhead High School (NY) and Boston University. She was a long-time non-profit development executive, soprano in the choir “The Magic of Christmas” and avid gardener. She was a lover of the outdoors and the city and blended both in her life. She loved hiking, canoeing, kayaking, skiing. In the summer she loved to sit in a chair at camp with her feet in the water looking at Mt. Washington while Piper or Morgan played in the water.
She loved dogs, and she could spell anything! Other Scrabble players met their match.
Leslie’s inner and outer beauty, fine intelligence, inexhaustible sense of humor and tremendous warmth touched everyone she met. She will be sorely missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. She loved life and fought tirelessly for another day. She was an inspiration to all who met her.
She would want to thank Greg, Morgan, Piper, Lee, Tish, Wayne Nicole, Sue M, Hospice, friends and family near and far. Thanks also to all the doctors and nurses who worked so hard to help her fight this battle against cancer.
