It is doubly sweet at the close of a well spent-life to turn one’s face toward sunset and quietly sink into the rest that knows no waking except in the presence of God.
Peace and sweet rest came to Leroy Jefferson, Jr. on March 28, 2023, at his residence in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his mother Elmira Jefferson, father Leroy Jefferson, Sr. and one sister Anne Moody.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Four Sisters: Adline Moody, Virginia (Sandy Sr.) Gibson, Frances Jefferson, Valarie (Clifton) Anderson. Four Brothers: Rev. Fred Moody, Jr., James Jefferson, Ralph (Sherry) Jefferson, Sr., and Kelvin (Maggie) Jefferson. Two Aunts: Patty Newman Reese and Dr. Lovie Gibson. One Uncle: George Lee Williams. A host of Nieces, Nephews, other Relatives and Friends.
A precious one from us has gone a voice we love is still: A place is vacant in our home which can never be filled. It is sweet to know we will meet again, where parting is no more and that the one we love so dear has only gone before.
