Leora Rose Collier, 93, of Steelville, MO passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO. She was born June 18, 1914 in Cherryville, MO to Jessie and Bessie (Harris) Wilkinson. On August 23, 1929, she was united in marriage to Esco Ray Collier who preceded her in death on February 2, 1993.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Esco Collier Jr. and wife Mary of Glasgow, MO; four daughters, Melba Martin and Geraldine Turnbough and husband Paul all of Davisville, MO, Mary Lee Hull and husband John of Sullivan, MO and Frances Warren of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Fred Wilkinson and wife Wilma of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Effie Neff and husband Ocie of Cuba, MO and Nina Skaggs of High Ridge, MO; daughter in-law, Mary Ruth Haffer of Cuba, MO; one sister in-law, Doris Wilkinson of House Springs, MO ; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Esco Collier, son, Garland Gene Collier and an infant son, a brother, Chester Wilkinson, two son in-laws, Oren Ray Martin and Jim Warren, and one brother in-law, Herman Skaggs.
Leora was a faithful member of the Davisville Assembly of God Church when her health allowed her to attend.
