Age 76, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011. Leona was born on June 28, 1935, the daughter of Joseph and Regina (Mazylewski) Potocny. Leona was employed at Hudsons/Marshall Fields/ Macy’s for several years. She married John Rupp, Sr. in June of 1954 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her children, Joseph L. Rupp and Rachel E. (Rupp) Gilland. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, John Rupp, Sr.; children, John C. Rupp, James M. Rupp and Jeffrey M. Rupp; grandchildren, Whitney M. Rupp, Justyne M. Winterstein, Tyler M. Rupp and Alex J. Gilland; great grandchild, Payton R. Winterstein; sisters, Lenore, Lillian and Carol; brother, Edward “Mike”; several nieces and nephews. Leona will be greatly missed by many.
