Lennie Richard Morrison, 86, of St. Clair, MO, formerly of Cherryville, MO passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008 at his home. He was born in Cherryville, MO on December 1, 1921 to Raymond and Marcena (Martin) Morrison. On October 5, 1946 he married Alma (Hill) Morrison who preceded him in death in 2007.
Lennie is survived by one son, Gary Morrison and wife Iness of Villa Ridge, MO; one step-son, Howard Craig of Ohio; one brother, Claude Morrison and wife Mary of Hot Springs, AR; three sisters, Irene McKinley of Steelville, MO, Norma Duke of Arnold, MO and Mary Ann Thompson of Eugene, MO who passed away the day after her brother; two grandchildren, Gary Richard Morrison Jr. of Union, MO and Laura Gail Morrison of Astoria, NY; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma; two brothers, Lloyd Morrison and Rainey Morrison; one sister, Naomi Richardson and two brothers-in-law, Claude Richardson and Cliff Thompson.
Lennie was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in St. Clair. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 575 of St. Clair and had been chaplain for the past several years.
Lennie served in the Army Air Corp during WWII from 1941 to 1945.
