LeeRoy H. Gerlemann, 85, of Gerald, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at New Haven Care Center.
LeeRoy was born in Stony Hill, Missouri on November 25, 1932, a son of the late Benjamin & Leona (Frankie) Gerlemann.
LeeRoy proudly served his country in the United States Army as a corporal. He served during the Korean War and was released from active military service in 1955 and transferred to the Army Reserves where he served until being honorable discharged in 1961. He was a member of the New Haven American Legion.
He was the husband of Mary Agnes (Frick) Gerlemann. They were united in marriage on May 7, 1955, at Assumption Church, New Haven. To this union 15 children were born.
LeeRoy began operating the family farm after grade school due to the illness of his father and continued farming throughout his life. He also drove a school bus for 15 years for Franklin County R-2 and was a heavy equipment operator. He built many lakes and ponds in the Stony Hill area.
LeeRoy is survived by his wife Mary Agnes, of the home; by their children, David Gerlemann & wife Brenda, of Washington; Leroy Gerlemann & wife Penny, of New Haven; Wayne Gerlemann & wife Teresa, of New Haven; Ruth Hale & husband Ronald, of Hermann; Donald Gerlemann, of Gerald; Betty Blaue & husband Troy, of Gerald; Barbara Benson & husband Charles, of Macks Creek, Missouri; John Gerlemann & wife Denise, of New Haven; Gary Gerlemann & wife Karen, of Beaufort; Ronald Gerlemann & wife Sherri, of Hermann; Richard Gerlemann & wife Jennifer, of Owensville; Mark Gerlemann & wife Jamie, of Gerald; Timothy Gerlemann & wife Rae Donna, of Gerald; and Cindy Gerlemann & husband Craig Mohrlock, of Leslie, by 34 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, by a son, Kenneth Gerlemann and by a grandson Ryan Gerlemann.
