Age 74, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012. He was born on November 22, 1937 in Westphalia, MI the son of Joe and Rita (Belen) Freund. Larry loved life. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, loved MSU sports, enjoyed sharing his recipes with family and friends, and loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. Larry had a gift of a wonderful sense of humor. He found a way to laugh and smile every day. Larry overcame incredible obstacles and challenges, and lived a full life to the end. He was an inspiration and a friend to everyone he met. Preceding him in death were his parents. Surviving are his children, Karl (fiance Christine) Freund, Katrina Cummins-Freund, Kris Freund, Kurt (Steve) Freund, and Kathryn (Jon) Heindel,; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Connie (Edward) Lenneman, Barb (Gary Blundy) Marsh, and Sarah (Robert) Falcone; many nieces and nephews.
