Mr. Brail worked all his life as an auto mechanic, retiring from Grand Valley Chrysler-Plymouth in 1982. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Lawrence married Irene Smith on November 7, 1946 in St. Johns, and she preceded him in death on November 3, 1995. Also preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Lyle Brail. Surviving are his sisters, Colleen Brail of Ionia and Marjorie Anspaugh of Colorado; nieces and nephews.
