Obituary
LaVerna is survived by her 3 daughters: Kim (Devon) Culton of Wright City, MO, Jennifer Taylor of St. Louis, MO and Robbyn Taylor of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren: Brandon, Aryanna, Camille and Dominique Culton, an abundance of unconditional love from 15 plus brothers, sisters, a host of nieces, nephews and relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents: Prentice and Josephine Taylor nee Mitchell. LaVerna was the founder of Moriah Ministries, a non-profit organization for single parent families. She worked as a substitute teacher in the Wentzville, Troy and Fort Zumwalt School Districts, teaching all grades. She also served as a member of the Wentzville School Board. She loved to pray and sing. LaVerna was involved in many organizations in St. Charles County. For years she operated a food pantry from her home. She was an active leader in her community. LaVerna served as a Chaplain for St. Joseph West and Crossroads Hospitals. If there is one thing she wanted to be remembered for, it would be her love and passion for Jesus Christ.
