Larry James Lane, the son of Dorothy (Anderson) and James Lane, was born on May 30, 1958 in Greenbush, Minnesota. He attended Grass Lake Country School, and moved to Roseau when he was in the sixth grade. He graduated from Roseau High School in 1976. He and Debbie Larson were married in 1977. They had one son, Jeremy. He lived in Roseau and worked at Marvin Windows for 10 years. He and Yvonne Shaugabay were married in 1983. They had two daughters, Tiffany and Angie. He worked at Polaris Industries for 12 years, the Seven Clans Casino for 3-4 years, and most recently as a mechanic for Keith Burkel in Greenbush. He also worked part-time as a handyman- carpenter for many years.
Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on vehicles. He was known for helping many people, and will be remembered for his precious smile.
Larry Lane passed away on October 16, 2005 as the result of an auto-accident at the age of 47.
He is survived by his children, Jeremy Lane of Fargo, Tiffany Lane of Omaha, NB, and Angie Lane of Warroad; grandchild, Kylie; mother, Dorothy Lane of Roseau; siblings: Elaine, Janice, Dwight, Wesley, Lonnie, Kelvin, Lynelle, Lynette, Kerry, Rose, Wayne, Wade, Jason, Justin, Janella, Janette, and Jaris; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James; and brother, Warren.
