LaMae Adeline “Sis” Schloesser, age 92, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s in Duluth. She was born August 29, 1924, in North Hibbing the daughter of Albert and Thora (Warke) Belschner. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1943. LaMae was united in marriage to Carroll “Lindy” Schloesser on October 9, 1944, in Virginia, MN.

LaMae worked at the Suburban Lanes Bowling Center and at Leisure Hills in Hibbing. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, The Sons Of Norway Midnatsolen Lodge #058, the Ladies of the Moose, and the Sr. Citizen’s Centers. She enjoyed doing volunteer work, playing music with “Dick and the Tagalongs”, and tending her flower gardens.

LaMae is survived by her children: Linda (Roger) Carpenter of Hibbing, Sandy (Herb) Smart of Nashwauk, Susan (Roger) Christofferson of Wilmot, SD, Sharon (Jack) Knox of Watertown, SD, Vickie LaFreniere of Hibbing, Patsy (Gerry) Castagneri of Cherry, Larry (Joann) Schloesser of Hibbing, Diane Quirk of Nashwauk, Brenda (Duane) Carpenter of Hibbing, and Cindy Schloesser of Hibbing; 33 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Lindy in 2001; her sisters: Lois, Darlene, Ardell, and infant sister: Deloris; her brother: Walter; and two sons-in-law: Daniel Quirk, and Mike LaFreniere.
