Kora Jamian of Bloomfield Hills was born April 24, 1926 at Women’s Hospital. She was one of three daughters to Diane and John Solakian She grew up in Detroit and graduated from Highland Park High. Her father John had many real estate holdings, including hotels in town. During the Great Depression her father lost their house but was able to hold on to one of his properties, the “Manhattan Hotel”, that he still owned.
