Kenneth “Kenny” Ray Setzer, 43, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010. He was born August 12, 1967 in Rolla, Missouri to Everett and Darlene (Quinton) Setzer. On April 2, 1988 in Cuba, MO he was united in marriage to Donna Whitman.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Donna Setzer of Steelville, MO; his mother, Darlene Setzer of Steelville, MO; three sons, Ryan Setzer, Brent Setzer and wife Rachel of Steelville, MO and Luke Carter and wife Georgia of Rolla, MO; two daughters, Gabby Setzer and fiance’ Lance Evans and Lissa Setzer of Steelville, MO; three brothers, Billy Setzer and wife Debbie of Cuba, MO, Joe Setzer and wife Danielle and Sam Setzer and wife Lisa all of Steelville, MO; seven sisters, Peggy Hicks and husband Raymond of Gary, OK, Shirley Halbert and Shelly Callahan and husband Jim all of Steelville, MO, Bonnie Bell and husband Mike of Cuba, MO, Debbie Whitman and husband Tim of Indianapolis, IN, Barbara Maib and husband Jeff of Gary, OK and Pam Martin and husband John of Cherryville, MO; five grandchildren, Haleigh Setzer, Chase Setzer, Katlyn Carter, Cameron Carter and Tristin Carter; mother-in-law, Carol Cunningham of Pevely, MO; step-mother-in-law, Virginia Whitman of Steelville, MO; four brothers-in-law, Kenny Whitman and wife Julie of Phoenix, AZ, Jeff Whitman of MO, Mike Quinton and wife Jenny and David Whitman and wife Dana all of Steelville, MO; seven sister-in-laws, Brenda White and husband Gordon of Blue Eye, MO, Judy Whitman and husband Greg Mehas of Bourbon, MO, Chris Whitman of Pevely, MO, Laura Lindhorst and husband John of Festus, MO, Patty Quinton, Barbie Hardin and husband Wayne all of Steelville, MO and Crystal Hollenback of Steelville, MO; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Setzer; two brothers, Welsey and James Setzer; father-in-law, Art Whitman; two brother-in-laws, Jimmy Quinton and Darrell Halbert; one sister-in-law, Vicky Whitman.

Kenny worked in Bourbon for Don Reeves in his sawmill for twenty-one years and later became partners with John Breese in their business, Christian Carpenters.

He attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Cuba. He was a bus driver for the youth group and shared a special bond with all of them. Kenny loved children of all ages and felt all of them were very special. He always thought of others and wanted to help in any way he could. In his spare time he loved to go camping and fishing. Kenny enjoyed being with his family and was loved by all who knew him.
