Age 87, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2005. He was born on April 10, 1917 in Pontiac, MI the son of Floyd and Lona (Wilder) Hammond. Mr. Hammond graduated from Sheridan High School in 1934, and he married Bernice Edwards on June 25, 1937. Kenneth worked for the State of Michigan in the Department of Agriculture as an inspector for 32 years, retiring on June 6, 1981. He then worked for 5 years for the Michigan Crop Improvement Association at M.S.U.. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Floyd Jr., Milton and Lewis Hammond; granddaughter, Melissa Dingee. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Bernice of Ionia; daughters, Patrecia (Robert) Bradford of Lakeland, FL, Connie Chick of Ionia, Cathy (Tom) Lowell of Wacousta and Christine (Jeff) Dingee of Grand Ledge; son, Bob Hammond of Ionia; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 5 step great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Doris Bryan and Margaret Hammond, both of Zephyrhills, FL..
