Keith Elton Robinson, age 87, longtime resident of Hibbing, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Heritage Manor in Chisholm. He was born March 1, 1924 in South Minneapolis, MN, the son of Floyd and Margaret (Bussey) Robinson. He attended Dunwoody Institute. A veteran of the US Army, Keith served in Europe during WWII. Keith was united in marriage to Sophie (Stana) Terzich in Hibbing on January 20, 1946.
Keith worked at US Steel, Reserve Mining in Babbitt, and then at Eveleth Taconite for 23 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hibbing. Keith enjoyed bowling and playing racquetball, and he loved to fish and garden. He looked forward to meeting with his friends for coffee.
Keith is survived by his wife of 66 years: Sophie; his son: Dale (Jackie) Robinson; his daughter: Suzan Robinson; his granddaughters: Heather (Abe) Mathews, and Erin (Mark) Kessinger; his sisters: Harriet Lietzow and Sharon (Larry) Smoots; and brothers: Verne, Clifford (Marge), Robert, and Richard; his sister-in-law: Julie Altuvilla; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Billy, Fred, Lloyd, and Tommy; and sisters: Blanche Heath, Maryann Robinson, and Barbara Wilen.
