Sandra “Kay” Skinner of Ridgely, Md., passed away on Aug. 23, 2017, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Del. She was 63.
Kay was born May 3, 1954, in Easton, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Kimbles) Walls and Edgar “Reds” Walls Jr. She was a 1972 graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School and married Tim Skinner on Aug. 26, 1978. Kay had a lifelong love for horses and would ride any horse no matter how wild it was. She had no fears when it came to horses and helped her son, Jason, with his stable of race horses until her passing. Kay enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She had one of the best and biggest gardens around, which was known for its beautiful tomatoes. Kay was an excellent cook and hosted all family holiday dinners for everyone and anyone, featuring large spreads of food and desserts.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Tim Skinner; her two loving sons, Jason Skinner (Susan) of Harrington, Del., and Justin Skinner (Amber) of Hartley, Del.; three adoring grandchildren, Ryder, Kayleigh and Reid Skinner; her brother, E. Eugene Walls III; her sister, Vickie (Walls) Thornton (Fred); two nieces, Megan Thornton and Bree Haufe; one nephew, Billy Haufe; and her mother-in-law, Phyllis Skinner.
