Age 84, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011. She was born on December 6, 1926 in Palo, Michigan the daughter of Lewis and Nevene (Moore) Hatinger. She married the late Vernon W. Heppe on August 2, 1947. Mrs. Heppe spent over 50 years working along with her husband on their farm. She was well known for her beautiful and delicious wedding cakes. She volunteered at Ionia Public Schools, tutored students at Boyce School, and was the best homeroom mother, teachers always requested her. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband in 2004; siblings, Llewella Ostrander, Georgia Sargent, and Weston Hatinger. Surviving are her children, Carol (Richard Dees) Heppe of Okeana, Ohio, Garald Heppe of Orleans, and Jayne (Jeff) Johnson of Ionia; grandchildren, Jennifer Heppe of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael (Heather) Heppe of Atlanta, Georgia, Emily Johnson of Warren, Michigan, Jason Dees of Milford, Ohio, and Kathleen Dees of Okeana, Ohio; great grandchildren, Perry Heppe, and Sarah Heppe both of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Bud (Carroll) Hatinger; sister, Janet (Robert) Peabody; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Heppe, Lucille Heppe, Katherine (Steve) Kenter, and Susie Hatinger; many nieces and nephews.
