Kathleen Jane (Higgins) Copp, 68 of Westbrook died on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
She was born in Calais Maine on Nov. 30, 1947. Kathleen was a graduate of Calais High School and upon graduation worked doing secretarial work.
Kathleen married Charles Copp in 1971 and together had two children; Natalie of Tampa FL and Jason of Westbrook.
Mrs. Copp was an avid golfer, not a low handicap but did have a “hole in one” during a tournament. She was a member at Riverside Golf Club where she was treasurer for many years. She was also a member of the Women’s Southern Maine Golf Association and the Women’s Maine State Golf Association. She had a love for the ocean, lighthouses and shorelines.
Blesses with PollyAnna philosophy, Kathy was gregarious and outgoing. She had many friends and enjoyed all of them at every opportunity.
In addition to her husband and two children, she is survived by two sisters, Patricia Lowell and Joanne Middlemiss both near Phoenix, AZ and by a brother Peter Higgins of Calais, ME.
