Age 84, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011. Katherine was born on February 16, 1927 in Litchfield, MI. the daughter of Delmer and Evelyn (Lazarus) Ward. Katherine enjoyed tending to her gardens and making scrap books. She retired in 1976 from the Michigan Dept. of Public Health after 25 years of service. Katherine married Francis May on February 23, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1985. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Erik Wolever in 1996 and two brothers Arthur Ward and Delmer Ward, Jr.. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy (Dan) Wolever of Ionia; grandson, Cody (Teressa) Wolever of Lyons; great grandchildren Cameron and Teagan Wolever; sisters Virginia Early of Idaho and LaVonna Bonville of California.
