Obituary
Karen Moreland passed away on June 27, 2018 at the age of 68. She is survived by her daughter, Shannan (Jason) Thomas of Silex, MO; three brothers, John Moreland of Belgrade, MO, Robert Moreland of Caledonia, MO, Timothy Moreland of Belgrade, MO; one sister, Kathleen (Mark) Cain of Dardenne Prairie, MO; and her grandson, Kyle Addington of Silex, MO; She is preceded in death by her parents, William Roy and Jean Marie Moreland (nee Anderlan). Karen was kind hearted, her family was her world, Karen and her grandson were inseparable. Karen always said to Kyle ‘I love you honey’ and Kyle would say the same to her. This led to him calling her “honey” instead of “grandma” and her being called Aunt Honey by her future nieces and nephews Karen was the family mediator and glue of her entire family. Always the caretaker she owned Karyn’s Kare, a private duty nursing service specializing in Alzheimer’s patients. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
