Judy A. Martin
Age 77, of Portland passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 surrounded by her family. Judy was born on February 13, 1941 the daughter of James and Leona Halpin.
Judy had a great love for family and was happiest when surrounded by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also spent many years providing a loving environment caring for children other than her own. She was lovingly referred to by many children as “Grandma Judy”.
She also spent many years teaching basket weaving classes, as well as having a love for knitting, sewing, card making and baking. One of the many ways she showed her love was through her baking. Not a day went by where she wasn’t in the kitchen whipping up some new recipe to bake for any and all, especially her grandchildren.
Judy spent many years battling Alzheimer’s with strength and dignity, and maintained her zest for life and love for people. She was a friend to everyone and dearly loved by all who knew her. The legacy she left behind is one filled with kindness, laughter, and above all else the love she poured into her family.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; daughter, Renee Pearson; sister, Sally Tomlian. Surviving are her daughters, Lisa (Tom III) Keusch, Kim (Kevin) Graft and Dayna (Tom) Gustafson; grandchildren, Abby (Zach) Kramer, Lillie (Beau) Scheurer, Emily (Charlie) Burns, Kirsten (Adam) Brower-Wolf, Kate, Aidan, Michael, and Braydyn Graft, Josh Gustafson, Spencer (Charli) Gustafson, Zach Gustafson and Caitlin Stanley; many great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Charles Pearson; sisters, Patricia Judson and Sean Niemchic; special friend, Carl Stanley.
