Judith L. Whitney, 69, of Damariscotta, passed away at her home on July 6th with family by her side. She was born on October 25th 1941, in Damariscotta to the late Gerald Weston and Ruth Busby. She grew up in the local area, eventually moving to Warren where she attended local schools and later met her husband, Edward H. Whitney, whom she married in 1958. Judy was first and foremost a loving wife and mother. She had an endless capacity for kindness and during her lifetime found numerous ways to give of herself to those in need. One of her greatest joys was being able to create and oversee a service that allowed the elderly to remain in their homes, with appropriate care and support, until their death. She ran this service for more than 20 years until her own declining health required her to retire in 2000.
