Mr. Joy F. Carl, 81, of Berger, passed away Saturday, April 6th, 2013 at New Haven Care Center, New Haven, Missouri.
Mr. Carl was born in Berger, Missouri on December 9, 1931, the son of the late Ferdinand and Hilda (Juedemann) Carl. Mr. Carl lived his whole life in the Berger area, he was a row crop farmer, he also raised hogs, beef and dairy cattle. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ Berger; Berger Fire Department, Missouri Cattleman’s Assoc, Missouri Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders Assoc, Farm Bureau, Corn and Soybean Growers Associations, and Mid American Dairy Assoc.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Carl, Berger; by a niece Marilyn Nixon and husband Thurman, Harvester, MO; a nephew Wayne Carl and wife Sandy, Berger, MO; a niece Cindy Juergensmeyer and husband Dutch, Warrenton, MO; by great nieces and nephews Daniel, Rebecca and Abigail Nixon; Erin and Matthew Carl; Zane and Loren Joy Juergensmeyer.
He is preceded in death by his parents; by one sister LaVerne Sprick, and one brother Merlin Carl.
