Age 75, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2005. He was born on May 2, 1930 in East Jordan, MI the son of Clyde and Clara (Johnson) Snellenberger. Mr. Snellenberger was a retired teacher with 35 1/2 years service, including Freemont, Hesperia and Cadillac schools, where he spent 32 1/2 years of his career. Jonathan supported Viking athletics in many capacities during his teaching career at Cadillac High School. He was a Lifetime Member of the Cadillac Kiwanis Club, was an amateur Ham Radio Operator for 57 years, and administered the Swimmer’s Itch Control Program for the City of Cadillac for 32 years. Jonathan enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and golfing. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathleen. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Blenda (Skoog) Snellenberger of Cadillac; children, Jon (Susan) Snellenberger, Jr. of Portland, MI, Tim Snellenberger of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Sally (Tom) Sands of Mason, MI and Pat (Denise) Snellenberger of Deltona, FL; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeffery), Erika (fiance Kurt), Richard, Ryan, Anthony, Samantha, Zachary and Madison; special cousin, Ray Alexander; many special Cadillac Area Public School (CAPS) colleagues and friends.
