Jonathan Alan McCommon, age 17, of Pascagoula passed away on Saturday morning of June 2, 2018. He was born August 31, 2000 in Pascagoula. He just completed the 11th grade at Pascagoula High School. Jonathan earned Life Scout Rank in Boy Scouts of America and had begun work on his Eagle Scout Rank. He was a member of the youth group at Ingalls Avenue Baptist Church and Arlington Baptist Church in Pascagoula. Jonathan was a born again Christian and served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by going on a mission trip last year to Guatemala. Jonathan enjoyed playing Lacrosse, hunting and fishing, and played with the City of Pascagoula Baseball for nine years.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Dillie McCommon; maternal grandparents, Clyde Everett and Grace Lillian Olive Morris.
Jonathan is survived by his mother, Lisa Morris McCommon; his Dad, Roy Alan McCommon; two sisters, Katherine D. Anderson (Dustin) and Jeana Gilbert Delancey (Reid); brother, Josh Gilbert; Uncle, Larry Clyde Morris; aunt, Teresa McMillan; four nieces, Olivia and Claire Anderson; Aubrey Grace and Reagan Blair Delancey; numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.
