Age 77, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2005. He was born on May 29, 1927 in Indianapolis, IN the son of Eugene and Beulah (German) McBride. Mr. McBride graduated from the University of Michigan in 1950, and retired from the Chrysler Corporation. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ionia Council #944, worked many years on the election board and was an avid reader. John married Harriet Mayhew on June 17, 1950 at St. Mary’s Student Chapel in Ann Arbor, and she preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his daughter-in-law, Penny McBride; sister, Joan Goldie. Surviving are his sons, Steve McBride of Portland, Kevin (Jan) McBride of Kentwood, Paul (Gabe) McBride of Rochester, MI, and James (Sharon) McBride of Greenville; daughter, Carol (Kevin) Clancey of Carmel, IN; grandchildren, Bridget and Meg McBride, Jay (Susan), Lindsay and Drew McBride, Sean and Maureen McBride, Katherine and Alana Clancey; numerous nieces and nephews.
