John Rainey Gann, 72 passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Gibbs care Center in Steelville, Missouri. He was born Sunday, July 29, 1934, the son of John H. Gann and Della (Strafford) Moses.
Those left to mourn his passing are three sisters, Ann Hoffman and husband Wally of St. Charles, Leona Neidert and husband Jeff of St. James and Eva Mae Earny and husband Bobby of St. James; one sister-in-law Donna Gann of Rolla; four special nieces, Melanie Visnapuu of Rolla, Pamela Gibson and husband Glenn of Rolla, Tamie Hinson and husband Bill of Washington, Mo. and Jackie Harris of St. Charles, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill Gann and Joe Gann and wife Joann.
John had served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1955 and was proud of his country. During his working years, John lived in Rolla and had worked as a custodian at University of Missouri for many years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
