Scarborough – John “Paul” Cowgill 82 of Kennebunk died peacefully on May 25, 2015, at the Mane Veteran’s Home in Scarborough. He was born on November 19, 1932 to the late John and Anne Cowgill. As a child, he attended local schools in Biddeford and graduated from Kennebunk High School with the Class of 1951. Paul served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955, where he was stationed in San Diego, Ca.
Following his discharge from the US Navy, John was employed by the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for many years as a shipwright and took early retirement in 1986.
