John Stewart “Jack” Benson, age 81 a lifelong resident of Virginia died Monday, April 27, 2015 in his home. He was born January 29, 1934 in Virginia, the son of George and Marian (Benkusky) Benson. Jack was a graduate of Virginia Roosevelt High School, Virginia Junior College, and earned a Master’s of Science Degree. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1955 until 1957. Jack was employed by the Aurora-Hoyt Lakes School District as a Librarian, and was a former member of the Minnesota Federation of Teachers. He loved reading, was an avid sports fan, and was a frequent author of “letters to the editor”.
John is survived by brother: Richard Benson of Virginia, brother-in-law: William Fleming of Sun City, AZ; extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Gerald Benson and sister: Barbara Fleming.
