Mr. John H. Schebaum, 80, of Hermann, Missouri passed away Friday, January 17th, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
Mr. Schebaum was born in Sullivan, Missouri on November 25, 1933, the son of the late August F. and Edna (nee Herrmann) Schebaum.
Mr. Schebaum was a businessman and lifelong farmer. John and his wife Frances owned S & S Variety Store and S & S Home Sales both in Hermann for many years.
On August 19, 1952 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Frances Lillian Shaffer. To this union eleven children were born.
He is survived by a son, Michael and wife Stacie Schebaum, Hermann; a son, Melvin and wife Denise Schebaum, Jefferson City; a son, Mark Schebaum, Hermann; a son-in-law, Kenney Jackson, St. Peters; a son, Martin and wife Susie Schebaum, Hermann; a son, Matthew and wife Jerry Schebaum, Hermann; a son, Merrill and wife Cheryl Schebaum, Chesterfield; a daughter, Melinda and husband Dean Trachsel, Fenton; a daughter, Melissa and husband Tim Engemann, Hermann; by two sisters Lucille and husband Norris Koelling, Sullivan; and Maxine and husband Dale Schatz, Kirksville; and by a sister-in-law Dorothy Schebaum, Sullivan, by 20 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Schebaum is preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Frances, by three children, a daughter, Mary Jackson and two sons Dale and Mitchell in infancy, he is also preceded in death by one brother Ralph Schebaum.
