John D. Ciotola, Jr., 72, of Linkwood, passed away on March 4, 2022 at his home. He was born in Baltimore on August 12, 1949 to the late John D. Ciotola, Sr. and Mildred Manger Ciotola.
John served in the United States Army. On June 30, 1986, he married the former Kathleen Hayden Elzey. John worked for many years with Anne Arundel County in building maintenance, and also served in several different places as a painter. He enjoyed crabbing, fishing, hunting, and especially loved playing with his grandson Joseph.
John is survived by his wife Kathi Hayden Ezley Ciotola; his daughters Kathy Jo Elzey and fiancée Scott Frankel, and Rebecca Jane Elzey; grandchildren Royce Elzey and Joseph Frankel; his brother Carl Ciotola; his nephew Cody John Ciotola and his girlfriend Elizabeth Walston whom he considered part of the family, two sisters in law Janie Hayden and Rachel Gabrielsen, as well as special cousins. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Anthony Hayden for showing John kindness always.
