Obituary
John D. Allen passed away on January 23, 2019 at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of Georgia A. Allen nee Zinn of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his sons, Mark James Allen and wife Laura of Tuscumbia, AL, James Paul Allen of Detroit, MI; daughters, Johnna Lynn Allen of Moberly, MO., Jana Lee Hawkins of Detroit, MI, step-sons, Mark Anthony Gililland and wife Nancy of Wentzville, MO, Keith Michael Gililland and wife Jo Ann of O’Fallon, MO, step-daughter, Kim Renee Bowker and husband Dwaine of Lake Saint Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, John Wilfred Allen, mother, Lelia G. Finnel, brother, Jimmy Loren Allen. John worked for the railroad for 41 years beginning his employment at the Wabash Railroad and retiring from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and traveling. His favorite sport was bowling where he had many 300 games. John and Georgia also took great pleasure in traveling around the world to many countries. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
