John “Butch” Hecktor, 51, of New Haven, MO, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at his home.

He was the husband of Mary “Terri” Teresa (Mauntel) Hecktor.  They were married on March 23, 2004, at Union, Missouri. 

Butch was born in Washington, Missouri on November 1, 1965, a son of Melvin & Laverne (Hellmann) Hecktor.

Butch was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven and he was a farmer.  In his short life Butch was known to be a loving husband.  He was sweet, soft spoken, kind hearted, hardworking and loved his family, farming, and animals.  He was never one to be in a large crowd unless it was at tractor pull.

Butch is survived by his wife Terri, by his parents, Melvin & Laverne Hecktor, of New Haven, a step son, Travis Wolff, of Dallas, TX, a step daughter, Monica Wolff, of Columbia, MO; and a step son, Ryan Wolff, of Washington, MO;  his mother-in-law, Violet Mauntel, of Washington, MO, by a sister, Sharon Monzyk & husband Daniel, of Union, MO; a sister Meg Jacquin & husband Alan, of Beaufort, MO; by a sister Jane Jakins & husband George, of Ocean Springs, MS; a brother, James Hecktor & wife Debora, of New Haven, MO; a brother, David Hecktor & wife Donna, of Washington, MO; a sister Barbara Aholt & husband Dale, of Washington, MO, and sister JoAnn Noelker & husband Robert, of Chesterfield, MO, by a sister-in-law, Judy Schwentker & husband Rick, of Marthasville, MO,  a brother-in-law, Jim Mauntel & wife Stacey, of Frederickstown, MO, and many nieces, nephews and many friends.
