Jo Ann Jones Griffin, age 76, of Gautier passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born March 4, 1946 in Pascagoula and has been a lifelong resident of Gautier. Jo Ann was employed with Pascagoula-Gautier School System for 9 years. She retired from the U.S. Naval Station in 2008 after 19 years of employment.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, William Howard Griffin, Sr; infant son and daughter, William Howard Griffin, Jr. and Angela Renea Griffin; parents, Joel E.
Jo Ann is survived by her three sons, Stephen Craig Griffin, Cheyenne, WY; Darrin Bruce Griffin, Orlando, FL; Douglas Scott Griffin, Headland, AL; sister, Jeannie Lee, Gautier; two brothers, John Jones and Jerry Jones; grandchildren, Shelbea, Brandon, Brianna, Kora, Eliot, Reagan, Avery, Ryan and Paige; devoted sister-in-law, Janet Jones, of Gautier; numerous other relatives, friends, and loving church family.
