Jimmie B. Thompson was born on April 17, 1941, and lived a wonderful life until his heavenly mansion was completed on December 18, 2014. He was the baby boy of 10 children born of parents, Jim & Lorene Thompson, in Scott County, MS. After battling melanoma cancer, he won the fight at 73 years of age. Jimmie was a loving husband, strong Christian father, devoted brother, caring uncle & compassionate friend. He was an excellent hunter who not only hunted to provide food for his family but truly loved his time outdoors enjoying the splendor of the Lord’s handiwork. For over 50 years, he labored as a self-employed painter relying solely on “word of mouth” recommendations, believing the quality of his labor would need no advertisement, and he was correct. During those years, he developed a prosperous business & painted some of the finest homes & businesses in the metro area. He also worked tirelessly to have a large garden each year & prayed the Lord would provide enough for his family, but also enough to share with others.
