Jessie Mildred (Hall) Knutson was born on January 31, 1928 in International Falls, MN to Earl M. Hall and Beryl E. (Fuller). She and moved to Williams, MN and then to Hywood before settling in Swift, MN. She attended school and helped with the family farm. On July 28, 1947, she married Clarence Knutson and moved to Roseau and raised her six children. In addition to her work on the farm, she worked at Polaris Industries for 14 years and has also worked as a seamstress for most of her life.
After Clarence passed away in 1991, she married Arvid Knutson in 1996. Arvid passed away in 2002. Jessie will be remembered for her spunk and spirit, and her hard-work ethic and was a friend to all who met her. She was a devoted Christian and active in her church all of her life. She spent the last three years at the Warroad Senior Living Center. Blessed be her memory.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Mary Jo) Knutson of Warroad, Jeff (Sheri) Knutson of Thief River Falls, MN, Dan Knutson of Glenwood, MN and Janice (Pat) Kranak of Clinton, PA; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence and Arvid; sons, Keith and Rodney; grandchildren, Keith Jr. and Misty Dawn.
