Jesse Albert Edler, 60, of Hermann, Mo., died on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his home in Hermann, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 26,1953 in Berger, Mo. He married his wife Catherine on April 18, 2007 in Hermann. She survives at home.
Jesse worked in trucking for 40 plus years, Trucking wasn’t a job to him because he loved it so much, he always said it was in his blood. He wanted to thank his mechanic Joe Scheer for keeping his truck fine tuned like a Swiss watch. He enjoyed working on and fixing trucks and old cars. He also enjoyed all his friends and neighbors coming over to his shop and shooting the breeze anytime of the day. He is also survived by his children, Jesse Edler Jr, of Hermann, Julie (Rick) Hibberd of Owensville, Jennifer (Keith) Dixon of Jonesburg, Jessica (and companion Josh) Edler of Warrenton, stepson Jason (and companion Monica) Boswell of South Milwaukee, Wis. His brothers Ron (Mary) Edler of Hermann, Wayne Edler of Hermann, his sisters Lucy (Bill) Courtway of Sullivan, Rose Phillips of West Plains and Wilma Edler of Hermann, His brother in- laws Chris (Cheryl) Anderson of South Milwaukee, Wis., Cliff (Dawn) Anderson of Port Washington, Wis.,and sister in-law Connie Gardner (and companion John) of Waupaca, Wis. His grandchildren Hailie, Jordan, Dawson and Daytona, and his many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and trucking buddies. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Vernie (nee Copeland) Edler.
