Jerry Lee Stainbrook, 85, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2023 at his son’s house in Badger, MN surrounded by family and friends.

Jerry was born on December 7, 1937 to Glen and Bronzie (Collins) Stainbrook in Anderson, Missouri. Jerry and his family moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1944, where he lived until the age of 18.

Jerry enlisted in the Army at the age of 18 and served from May 31, 1955 to April 22, 1958. He enlisted in the Navy from August 1, 1958 to September 22, 1966. He served in the Minnesota Army National Guard from December 21, 1971 to May 15, 1975. Jerry was a proud lifetime member of the VFW.

After his time in the military Jerry moved to Perley, MN where he met Lois Geraldine (McNeilly) Peterson. They were married on December 20, 1968 in Perley, where they lived until 1970 with Lois’s children; Kerry, Carl, and Brian Peterson.

They moved to Babbitt, MN in 1970, where Jerry worked for the Reserve Mining Company as a Boiler Operator. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish.

Jerry, in his loving kindness, insisted he would take care of his wife Lois and was her caregiver for many years when her heath failed.

He is survived by his children, Kerry (Steven) LaFavor, Carl (Leann) Peterson, Brian Peterson, and Jerry D. (Teresa) Stainbrook; grandchildren, Krista (Robert) Kaminski, Aaron (Marion) Lee, Aaron Klee, Brandon Klee, Grace Peterson, Amelia, Ashley, and Austin Stainbrook; nine great-greanchildren; and sister, Ruth Seelye.

Jerry was preceded in by his wife of 49 ½ years Lois; parents, Bronzie Anderson and Glen Stainbrook; sister, Alice (Joan) Williams; brother Paul; brother-in-law, Bill Williams; sister-in-law, Elaine Fowler.
