Jerry Benjamin Endrizzi was born in Crosby, MN on September 20, 1945 to David and Lelah Endrizzi and raised in Ironton, MN. He attended Ironton Elementary and Crosby High School, graduating in 1963. He attended Staples Vocation College.
He married Jo Ann Neznik in Staples, MN in 1965. They moved to Minneapolis where he was employed by Litton Industries, Univac Computors and Dacon Engineering. In 1968 he began working for Polaris Industries, working for many departments and lastly as Engineering Supervisor until 2007, when he retired. He also built grain bins when Polaris was temporarily closed. On August 31, 1991, he and Marian (Gross) Johnson were united in marriage at Roseau.
Jerry enjoyed hunting, especially deer, and fishing for walleye and trout – and he really loved when he could go deer hunting in the morning and fishing in the afternoon. Jerry was involved in his community as a member of the Jaycees, Sacred Heart Men’s Club, Northland Range Gun Club, Roseau Fire Department, Roseau Eagles Club, Trail Blazers and Knights of Columbus.
Jerry passed away on September 23, 2017 at the age of 72 at Roseau LifeCare.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Marian; children: Paulette (Miles) Hedlund of Roseau, Jeff Endrizzi of Dalton, MN, Barry (Lori) Johnson of Roseau, Jill Endrizzi (special friend Joel Hulst) of Red Lake Falls, MN, Chad (Kate) Johnson of Elk River, MN, James (Rachel) of Plymouth, MN, and Ryan Johnson of Roseau, and special four-legged companion Missy; grandchildren: Joanna (Cole) Schmitz, Caitlin (Cody) Halvorson, Taylor Hedlund, Emily Endrizzi (fiancé David Waletich), Karlie Hedlund, Sidney (Josh) Peterson, Wyatt Knutson, Riley Johnson, Benjamin Johnson, Dylan Hedlund, Lauren Johnson, and Cade Endrizzi; and great-grandchildren: Caleb Halvorson, Evelyn Halvorson, Eli Halvorson, Levi Schmitz, and Harrison Halvorson.
He is also survived by his mother, Lelah Endrizzi of Crosby, MN; brothers: David (Mary), Steven (Pat), and Robert (Bonnie); sisters: Charlotte (John) Larson, and Mary (Tony) Novotny; and sister- and brother-in-law Elaine and David Bratsch.
He was preceded in death by his father David, his in-laws Ed and Mildred Gross; and his two grandsons, Jake and Christian Johnson.
