Jeffrey John Laska, age 54 of West Saint Paul, MN passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 12th, 2022, at his home.
Jeff was known for helping his friends and neighbors, describing him as intelligent, kind, and loved sharing his passion for music and cooking. Jeffrey struggled with addiction most of his life yet through it all he tried. A recent saying he posted: “And when the dust settles, just know, I tried. With every ounce of my being, I tried.”
Even after becoming paralyzed, he completed the warrior dash several times. Jeffrey loved music, he taught himself how to play the guitar. He was especially fond of music by Michael McDermott whose music was based on recovery, hope, overcoming obstacles. One of his favorite songs was, “A Wall I must climb.” By Michael McDermott.
Jeff will be remembered by his mother Linda Jarvis and stepfather Terry Jarvis of Hastings, MN; one sister Jennifer Price of Inver Grove Heights, MN, niece Katlyn, and maternal grandmother Catherine Stokes of Inver Grove Heights, MN.
He is preceded in death by his father Floyd Laska, maternal grandfather Walter Stokes, and his paternal grandparents Mable and Ambrose Laska.
