Bath- Jeanette F. Oliver, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 29, 2010, at the Hillhouse in Bath where she has resided for the past 5 years. Jeanette was born the only daughter of Harold and Mildred Plant Dowling. She grew up in Bath and graduated from Morse High School Class of 1939. After High School she went to work for J.J. Newbury in downtown Bath for 2 years. In 1941 she married Edwin F. Oliver and the couple made their home on 78 Washington Ave. Edwin passed away in 1974. Jeanette worked for MA BELL, later known as New England Tel & Tel for 42 years retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Mary”s Church here in Bath for many years and served as a Eucharistic Minister in the church and to the shut-ins at nursing homes. She also served in many other ministries of the church. She was an avid gardener.
