Jean Anderson Seekins of Mankato, MN formerly of Jamestown, ND went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2022. She had been living in Mankato, MN to be near her family. Jean Anderson was born on August 4, 1940 in Jamestown, ND to Charles and Elfreda (Schunke) Anderson as the youngest of three children. She was always interested in music. In high school, she learned to play the violin and was first chair. She married Richard “Dick” Alzonzo Seekins on March 26, 1962 in Fairbault, MN and then they resided in Jamestown, ND. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in math from Jamestown College. Jean started her passion of caring for others in her local area by becoming a social worker for Stutsman County. She also worked alongside her husband over the years in many business ventures while raising their three children. In business together, they owned five apartment buildings and were owner/operators of the Starlight Motel on the edge of Jamestown, ND for over 35 years.
