Janny Taylor, age 93 of Livonia, passed away on Monday, October 31st at Angela Hospice in Livonia with her loving family by her side. Janny took pride in her family and was a beloved wife to Ingram Marshall; mom of Marshall (Darlene) Taylor, Doreen (Scott) Greene; gramma to Brittany, Brendan, Brienna, Bryan, and Christian; and loving sister-in-law of Mary Taylor. She is also survived by many family members, friends, and her sweet grandpups, Maverick and Jaxie.
Janny was one of six children born to Daniel and Julia (Lucas) Bubnekovich. She grew up in a very loving family dedicated to each other and to their church. She loved to talk about her family and the memories she cherished. She was the last of her siblings to get married, so she was the fun aunt that loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews.
Janny graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit. She then attended Ruth Dorsey Business School. She was proud of her career at Ford Motor Company where she was promoted to several different administrative roles in engineering and had over a thousand innovation points for her ideas. She was always a “thinker”. She was also very active in the Ford Women’s Group, traveling nationally and internationally. She also participated in their softball and bowling leagues.
Janny met her husband while working at Ford Motor Company. They married after 3 years of dating and shared 47 wonderful years together. She would especially reflect on their two-week honeymoon to California and what a wonderful time they had. They resided in Livonia and raised their family. She was delighted in her role as a mom and homemaker and selflessly cared for her aging parents and mother-in-law. She returned to work after raising her kids and worked until she was 82 as an Administrative Assistant for a public insurance adjuster.
Janny always made sure her family had nothing but the best. She always had the “party house” and made holidays and birthdays very special by going the extra mile to decorate and set a festive table. She continued to host all the birthday and holiday parties into her nineties.
Although things were not always easy growing up during the depression, she always looked on thebright side and had an infectious positive attitude. She dedicated her life to her family and always
wished for them to “Be safe! Be happy!”
